SHEAREX INAUGURATES ITS NEW PLANT IN ROXTON FALLS

10/21/2022

ROXTON FALLS, QC, October 21, 2022 — Resulting from an investment of $10 million, Shearex inaugurated its new plant in Roxton Falls on Thursday, October 13, 2022. This incredible milestone was shared with the community, clients, suppliers, as well as employees and their families.

A new company in the forestry industry, Shearex has quickly carved out a world-class place for itself since its creation in 2020. Having become a reference in terms of clearing, it expects to more than double its sales in 2023, from $12 million to 30 million $. " The demand is so strong for the products that we are already planning new investments to meet the demand ", says Jeffrey Bélanger, Director of the Shearex Division.

Shearex, was created following the closure of industrial brush cutter manufacturer Denis Cimaf in 2020, whose activities were transferred to the United States. It was then that GRYB, a manufacturer of heavy machinery attachments in Victoriaville, jumped at the chance to develop a line of forestry equipment.

The factory on rue de l'Église has been in operation since June 2022. "This project would not have been possible without the precious collaboration of the municipality of Roxton Falls and CADIR, which allowed us to design and produce before having our factory. We are very grateful," explains Robert Camiré, Director of Operations.

Shearex has 45 employees and is looking to grow its team to keep pace with sales growth. "The 25,000 square foot factory has been designed for the well-being of employees with, among other things, natural light, ergonomic workstations in the offices and in the factory, two terraces, because for the team at Shearex, having fun at work is essential," said Jeffrey Bélanger, Director of the Shearex Division.
